Do I need a special license to drive Nalu?
Nope — Nalu is simple to drive and doesn’t require any special permits. As long as you’re 25+ and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, you’re good to go.
Where can I sleep overnight?
We’ll share a handpicked list of safe, legal, and scenic overnight parking locations around Maui — from ocean-view spots to quiet upcountry stays.
Does it have air conditioning?
Yes — Nalu has AC while driving. When parked, airflow and cross-ventilation are great for off-grid comfort. You can also use the optional generator if needed.
What if I need help while on the road?
You can reach us anytime. We offer 24/7 support for everything from van troubleshooting to directions or just general island travel tips.
Are there any road restrictions?
Yes, a few. Unpaved and hazardous roads — like parts of the Piilani or Kahekili Highways — are off-limits. We’ll go over this together before you hit the road.

I had such a relaxing and easy trip thanks to renting Nalu from Casey. The van is thoughtfully designed and has everything you need…and then some. I mean, I ate ice cream while camping?! Luxury! Casey was always quick to respond to any questions I had and made arrival super easy with his airport pickup. Not sure I can visit Maui without renting a van now. Thanks!

Absolutely incredible experience renting from Casey and Mana Vans! The van was equipped with everything we needed: stove, cookware, refrigerator/freezer, shower, comfortable bed. Casey was super accommodating and helpful with recommendations for our time on Maui. We loved being able to move around the island. Would definitely rent from Mana Vans again!

We rented Nalu for 5 nights from Casey, and it was spectacular! Casey was incredibly patient and helpful, both during our pre-trip planning and in answering questions that came up during our visit. He was like having the best travel advisor on call! The van had everything we needed, and the setup was perfect. I would absolutely recommend renting from Mana Vans!
